My week of non drinking really does limit your options. After a Saturday night spent at home with homemade curry and xfactor I was feeling fresh the next morning. Mike wanted to shop for his Vegas hol so I was happy to assist, but first, breakfast.
We moved into our new pad a few months ago and always pass a super cute café 2 mins away from our door, so today was the day we became locals.
Sawmill is a cute family run business that do homemade breakfast, lunch, dinners, cakes and coffee. The cakes in the front window is what lured me in to begin with.
We ventured in at midday and luckily the brunch menu is served until 1. Loved the décor and general feel of this place.
Freshly squeeed OJ, tea and coffee first up.
Mike went for the classic eggs beni. Great poachies and huge portion. Holladaise on point.
I fancied the smoked salmon and scrambled egg. Really fresh, loved it.
Sawmill will definitely be one of our regular breakfast joints. Oh and I’ll no doubt be popping in for a takeaway red velvet slice.
