Breakfast @ Jam Cafe & Cream Tea @ White Rabbit, Nottingham

It’s the morning after. We drank all the alcohol. We need food. I had a good few hours until my train back to the smoke so we scooted in to town for some brunch.

Haily had heard good things about Jam Cafe so we parked up and got our freezing bums inside.

Cute, no frills place, with a cool brunch menu until late afternoon.  Pretty busy, we bagged the last table- result.

Tea. A hangover saviour. Haily went for a tom juice.

Me and Loz had our all time fave- eggs royale. It came out pretty quick, thank god as we were starving marvin.

A nice wedge of sour-dough toasted bread was covered in tons of smoked salmon, 2 big poachies and creamy hollandaise sauce. Poachies were a tad overdone but still soft in the middle.

Haily went for a healthier version with kale. Too green for me.

This sorted us right out. Not bad value and a nice relaxed vibe, just what we wanted. We were super full but had a sweet craving.

The staff were really friendly and recommend the White Rabbit tea room, so off we hopped.

Hidden down Bridlesmith walk is this very sweet traditional English tearoom. Only a handful of tables made it really cosy.

They had a counter full of beautiful home made cakes, scones and pies. This is my happy place. Tea was served in a mish mash of vintage china tea pots and cups.

Look how pretty. Did you see the cuties salt and pepper bunnies? aw.

Haily and Loz opted for a cream tea, whilst i kept it festive with a mince pie. Two huge fresh fruit scones came over with jam and clotted cream. They looked so good.

My tea and pie was a bargain £3. I got a cake fork and everything, I felt like I was on Downton. The pie and scones were warmed, wowzer this carb fest was the best.

We had a lush afternoon in the White Rabbit. It’s a great place to pop in and indulge over a good goss.

So it was time to say my goodbyes and head home. I got a Costa for the train. It was in a rubbish cardboard cup. Lady Mary wouldn’t put up with this. Waaahhhh.
