Bottomless Bellini Brunch @ Hush Holborn

I’ve been looking forward to this day for weeks. Catching up with my nearest and dearest gals, whilst chowing down on a two course brunch and sinking bottomless bellini’s- bliss!

White wine & elderflower

The table was booked for 4pm, and, standard I’m the first to arrive, so I prop myself up at the bar and order a white wine. The barman replied, we can do better than that, and knocked up this gorgeous white wine and elderflower concoction- it was refreshing and potent- great start!

Rina was next to arrive and the same thing happened with her- she ended up with this strawberry delight.

Our new friend then dished up these, two rather large Baileys & Kahlua shots. It’s 4pm. I’m def’s going to be asleep by 6 at this rate. As we knocked em’ back the rest of the girls arrived, and we were seated in a cute booth area.
Free shots!
I booked this super deal through Bookatable (sadly no discount!) but still cheap as chips at £24.50pp. The place is very relaxed and was fairly busy. You could choose from strawberry, pear, passion fruit or peach bellini’s- so we started to make our way through each.

First course for me as I have an avo addiction, was a crab and avocado stack with melba toast- really fresh and perfect portion size.

Ranvey went for a delish looking smoky bean soupy bowl with crusty home made sour dough- thumbs up from the veggie.

The others had vine tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella- I think this dish was a little underwhelming, the tomatoes could of done with some love, but still a fresh simple starter.

Next up, the Hush cheeseburger on a brioche bun with a side of burger sauce. As usual, my eyes were bigger than my belly and I just finished it despite thinking- is this it! Although, no fries as standard, bit stingy but we ordered a portion to share all the same. This was a lush burger, if you’ve read my previous burger post you’ll know I’m not easily pleased. It had a huge meaty patty with oozy cheese and great soft bun. Loved the burger sauce too- posh big mac, yummm.

Next to me was a posh fish finger bun with pea purée and tarter sauce. Nice crispy fingers, although nothing to whale about. (Soz)

Ranveig kept with the brunch theme and went for eggs, they kindly swapped the ham for smoked salmon. We need to wash this grub down….so we ordered a jug of water- just kidding, more bellini’s please kind sir!

All flavoured out we opted for a simple plain prosecco each to finish, along with lots of drunken selfies!

6 glasses down and still going

This was a great start to our girls day/night out- totez recommend. The service was a little slow, and due to the different flavoured bellini’s, we had to order them each time rather than our glasses being regularly topped up- I think we still got our monies worth in the 2 hour time slot.

So off we stumbled for more drinks and dancing at Kanaloa bar round the corner… the less I mention about falling asleep on the night bus the better.

Where the night took a turn….
Party party 🙂
