A BBQ feast at Big Easy

So i ventured to Big Easy- Covent Garden lwith my pals Rose and Lou last night for some serious meat.

Don’t bother turning up without a reservation, these guys are packed everyday of the week and I know why! They have a cool deep South vibe going on, with neon lights, rowdy meat eaters and the smell of smokey BBQ in the air.

Bottle of red ordered we decided on lots of sharey things to sample the full menu.

Bibs ready, we totally looked the part. Pics arnt great as it’s quite dimly lit. The tray was filled with a selection of: huge BBQ dry rub smoked ribs, pulled pork and pit smoked bbq chicken thighs- heaven! All had such deep rich flavours.

Sides were skin on chips, creamed spinach, slaw, cornbread and smoked beans.
We also couldn’t resist a portion of the deep fried voodoo shrimp with blue cheese sauce.
The portions were huge, we couldn’t finish… Then came the meat sweats!
Great night in here, although a little pricey it’s worth paying. Atmosphere is great, live band playing downstairs, and you’re not rushed out the door. I’ll be back to try the lobster and burger!
