It’s Sunday. We are hungover. Tea hasn’t helped- I need meat and I need it now.
The Printhouse, our trusty local is just round the corner, and as Stratford goes it’s pretty smart. Today is the day to sample their Sunday roast.
I’m Marvin! So went for a starter, ricotta crostini with a salsa puttanesca. Really good, just enough, although £6 did seem a little steep.
Mike went for carrot and coconut soup (£4.50), which was lovely, slight food envy.
Main event, roast pork belly with carrots, cabbage, duck fat roasties, creamed celeriac and a huge homemade Yorkshire pud.
It was perfect, and worth the 14quid. Great portion, big chunks of meat and lovely crispy roasties, with a good dollop of Apple sauce. Mmmm no room for dessert 😦
Chilled vibe in the place, quick service and tasty food. So glad this is our local. Happy and full, now time for a nap!
