Needless to say I’m a huge advocate for spending my weekends sinking booze and chowing down on delicious food, so when I came across the famous Flesh & Buns brunch I got straight to booking.
Scouring the menu, there wasnt an egg in sight. We were in for a Japanese treat, and plenty of it.
Skulked in the centre of Covent Garden I met the gals and we headed down to the foodie den. Booking is a must, it was packed.
It’s quite pricey but worth every penny. For £46 you can stuff you face with everything on the menu whilst getting topped up every few mins.
We started with bellinis and sashimi (fresh pieces of fish), sushi, edamame beans and some crunchy prawn cracker type things with avocado and salsa. YUM-MY! Pics are a little fuzzy as it’s quite a dimly lit cool place.
Next, Korean chicken wings, crispy chilli squid, yellow tail sashimi and more sushi! It was all so tasty, I was shocked at the quality, and it just kept on comin. Don’t be shy they will keep dishing up whatever you ask for.
Bubbles flowing quite nicely now…4th glass, love making friends with the staff 😉
Already feeling full, the mains started to arrive. Piglet belly, sirloin steak and salmon teriyaki served with fluffy doughy buns (bao), sauces and pickles. They are sooooo good and super filling! I’m so glad we shared, as they all tasted incredible. The pork belly was my absolute dream dish.
Time for dessert, passion fruit marshmallows you toast with your own private fire-pit! very cool! You get chocolate wafers to make s’mores, a gooey crunchy dessert sarnie. Alongside was pistachio ice cream and chocolate fondant– all delightful!
